The documents that protect you while you're still here.

A will covers what happens after you're gone.
These documents cover what happens if you can no longer speak for yourself.

Two documents.
One conversation.

Most people focus on getting a will sorted and forget about the documents that matter while they're still alive. An Enduring Power of Attorney and an Enduring Power of Guardianship ensure that if something happens to you, the right person is making decisions on your behalf. Not a stranger or a tribunal but someone you've chosen yourself.

For your finances and property

Enduring Power of Attorney

An Enduring Power of Attorney allows you to appoint someone you trust to manage your money and property if you're no longer able to do so yourself. It only applies to financial and property decisions, not medical or personal ones.

For your health and personal decisions

Enduring Power of Guardianship

An Enduring Power of Guardianship allows you to appoint someone to make personal and lifestyle decisions on your behalf like where you live, what medical treatment you receive, and other day-to-day matters. It covers the decisions an EPA doesn't.

Together, these two documents give you complete coverage.

When is it urgent?

These documents can only be made while you still have mental capacity. Once that's gone, it's too late.

If you or someone you love is getting older, has a health concern, or is simply due for a life admin review, don't wait. Life can change suddenly, and having these documents in place means the people you trust can step in without delay.

What happens without them?

If someone loses capacity without these documents in place, family members can't automatically step in to help. They'll need to apply to the State Administrative Tribunal to be formally appointed, which is a process that takes time, costs money, and adds stress to an already difficult situation.

It's entirely avoidable.
